Special Considerations for Hepatitis-C Patients
Patients need additional monitoring and support to
maintain the safe and effective use of their medications.
For example, our pharmacy team may monitor pre- and post-HCV RNA titer levels,
as well as
symptoms of depression, contemplation of suicide, irritability or mood or behavior
changes. They may also ask about any difficulty breathing, chest pain, blurred vision, loss of vision, fever, infections, bleeding, bruising
or unusual fatigue.
